Worldwide Football can reveal Stoke City have resigned midfielder Salif Diao on a two year contract.
The Senegal international, 33, left Stoke in June after his contract had run out but has decided to rejoin the club in a deal that includes him becoming a club ambassador.
Diao,who also had spells in England with Liverpool, Birmingham and Portsmouth rejected Stoke's original offer and even though a number of clubs were interested in him he has decided to remain at the Brittania.
