Worldwide Football can confirm Arsenal have just completed the signing of defender Laurent Koscielny for an undisclosed fee.
The defender becomes Arsenals second signing after competing the Bosman transfer of striker Marouane Chamakh.
With the uncertain future of Sol Campbell and the possible loss of veterans William Gallas and Mikael Silvestre manager Arsene Wenger needed to strengthen his defence before the new season in August.
Koscielny made 35 appearances for Lorient and has previously had spells playing for Tours and Guingamp
