Hatem Ben Arfa has completed his move to Newcastle United from French club Marseille today for an undisclosed fee.
The 23 year old winger is currently out of the side after breaking his tibia and fibia during the league game with Manchester City in October but new Toon manager Alan Pardew believes the Frenchman still has a role to play for him and decided to make the original loan deal more permanent.
The former Marseille and Lyon man made an immediate impact when he moved to the Toon Army putting in a string of man of the match displays and scoring a wonder goal against Everton in September but the infamous Nigel De Jong challenge mean't his season was cut short although there are rumours he could be back in action by the end of February, beginning of March.
Hatem Ben Arfa's career so far:
2004/2008 - Lyon - 64 appearances (7 goals)
2008/2010 - Marseille - 63 appearances (9 goals)
2010 - Newcastle United - 4 appearances (1 goal)
