Aquilani hoping for Juve switch

Liverpool must reduce price tag

Franco Zavaglia, the agent for Alberto Aquilani, will meet with Liverpool officials at the weekend to ask the Anfield club to reduce their asking price for the midfielder.
Aquilani, 26, has spent the season on loan at Juventus after struggling  to establish himself at Anfield.
Its believed the two clubs had agreed a fee of around £14m which will be payable over three years should the Turin club want to make the loan move permanent.
Juve must make their decision by Sunday (May 15) but according to sources they would like to make the move permanent but not as the agreed asking price.
Ex Liverpool manager Rafa Benitexz signed Aquilani for £17m in the summer of 2009 and due to injury only made his debut in the October. Aquilani went on to make 18 appearances for the Reds before joining Juve this summer. He has made 32 appearances for Juventus scoring two goals and has recaptured the form that made him one of the prize assets in Serie A.
It is not known whether Kenny Dalglish (when he signs his contract) see's a future for the man nicknamed Il Principino by the Roma faithful at Anfield so may look to cash in on him and use the funds to bolster his squad for a title challenge next season.

Liverpool fans, do you think Aquilani can be billed as an expensive flop or would you like to see him back and justify his price tag. Do you think he was given a chance at Anfield. Let us know what you think. Email admin@worldwidefootball.co.uk or twitter @jamiemason76
