New Celtic Manager Revealed, Rooney Disciplinary Problems?, Torres Off

Scottish Footballs Worst Kept Secret Is Finally Out

On March 25th the news broke in Scotland Tony Mowbray had been sacked as the manager of Celtic.  His win ratio during his nine month spell in charge was worse than that of John Barnes who is regarded as the worst manager in Celtic's history.  The Celtic board made assistant manager Neil Lennon the interim manager as they scour Europe to find the man to bring the glory days back to the green half of Glasgow.
Tomorrow it is expected that 3 months after Mowbrays sacking the searach has finished and Celtic are now ready to announce who the new man in charge will be.  Noneother than .... NEIL LENNON.  I wonder how many miles were covered finding the best successor only to find the perfect candidate was sittign next to Mowbray all the time.  This will be Neil Lennon's first managerial appointment.  He has the respect of the dressing room so who knows what the future of Celtic will bring.  I just hope the search wasn't a waste of time!!!

Back Of Rooney

I was amazed to read in the papers today about Wayne Rooneys temper and how it could get him into trouble.  Yes, he has always had a bit of a temper but everyone keeps thinking about the Wayne Rooney of old.  Since the birth of his son he has become more calmer on the pitch.
Yes, he was booked in the match yesterday agaisnt Platinum Stars but this was his first yellow card for a long long while.  In fact in the last qualifying campaign Rooney wasn't booked once so give him a break.  If he gets sent off in a crucial game then yes, pillar him but until then let him do what he does best.
It seems to me more attention has been paid to his booking rather than the goal he scored yesterday.

Torres To Say Adios?

Apart from Fabregasgate the rumour of the summer will revolve around Fernando Torres and the will he/ won't he leave Liverpool.  The strongest rumour today is that he is interested with a move to Eastlands.
Guillem Balague was on Talksport today saying the fact Manchester City aren't in the Champions League yet isn't a problem with the Spanish striker.  What kind of fee are we talking about and will the rumours of him earning £200k a week be the thing that turns his head.
What does this mean for Liverpool's future, and that of Steven Gerrard.  I hope he doesn't go to City as I think it will look like he is going for the money rather than the glory.  Yes the future is bleak for Liverpool but one bad season doesn't mean Liverpool are doomed.
If no Champions League means nothing to Torres then why not stay put and help put Liverpool back on the map or maybe the almighty dollar is the only thing the Spaniard really cares about.
