Group C Finale

It might be the end of Group C today but the England fans will hope its the beginning of their World Cup journey.  The 3 lions have endured a torrid start to the campaign drawing against the USA and Algeria but it was the Algerian performance that caused more concern due to the lack of passion and effort shown especially by Wayne Rooney who's outburst after the game made the headlines.
Slovenia have played well so far and should prove a threat to England.  Slovenia beat Algeria in their opening match and looked like claiming all 3 points against USA but 2 lapses of concentration meant they had to make do with a point.  A point today will see Slovenia through and probably see England out of the competition.

The other game today pits the USA against Algeria.  A win for America, and it should be a win will see them through to the last 16. Algeria were expected to finish bottom of the group and it looks like they will finish bottom.  America will be looking to Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey to score the goals and if the results go as expected they can look forward to a match against Ghana or Serbia in the next round.
