Balls, Joe Cole, BB RIP

World Cup Balls

We are less than 48 hours away from the start of the World Cup and I am already fed up with people talking balls..  Of course I mean footballs.  So much money has been spent on the ball that will be used in the tournament and no-one rates it.  Yes it flies like the Wembley footballs we use to get for a pound years ago but why moan.  No matter who is playing, both teams use the same ball.  Talksports Darren Gough agrees.  He recently said "When I bowled in South Africa everyone though I would bowl 5mph faster than normal because of the altitude but I never so the ball won't be flying around any more than normal".
This is the greatest football event in the world so please, can we concentrate on the exciting matches ahead and not worry the ball is swerving a little bit.

Chelsea's Big Mistake

As Chelsea look to reduce the age of their squad (pictured left) today they confirmed Joe Cole's contract will not be renewed so at the moment he is a man without a club.  They are also letting Michael Ballack and Juliano Belletti go but I think the loss of Cole could well be a massive mistake.  He would walk into the other top 4's sides making them stronger and even though the Pensioners are linked with Bastian Schweinsteiger, his lack of Premier League knowledge means it will take a while for him to get use to the hustle and bustle of the league.  There's still time for Roman to pursuade Cole to stay, I think he is worth the money he is asking for.

BB End Is Nigh

Tonight see's the beginning of Big Brother XXXXX.  The final series and even though it hasnt started yet I can't wait for it to end.  Another house full of misfits and freaks desperate for 2 minutes of fame isn't what I call entertainment and that Geordie blokes boring drull of a voice will not be missed.  Its just a shame its on for as long as it is.  It started the whole reality TV genre but it had its day about 5 years ago and should be confined to the TV Graveyard where it belongs
