World Cup Match 17 Preview

South Africa v Uruguay tonight begin the second round of group matches in what will be a packed stadium in Pretoria.  Both teams had a good start in the first round of matches, South Africa drawing against Mexico and Uruguay getting a draw against France but a win tonight for either team would mean 1 foot in the last 16.
Uruguay have a potent striker force in Luis Suarez and Diego Forlan and even though they both drew a blank in the first game they both have what it takes to both find the net tonight.
South Africa proved they are worthy hosts and not just here to make the numbers up but a win for them is very important. Failure to win tonight will mean they will have to beat France in their last group game to stand a chance of qualifying.  If they fail to qualify they would become the first host nation to go out in the first round.

Head To Head: South Africa 0 wins, 1 draw, Uruguay 1 win

Last Meeting: South Africa 0 Uruguay 0 (Johannesburg)

Best Odds: South Africa 9/4, Draw 23/10, Uruguay 6/4
