World Cup Match 9 Preview

We see the Oranjeboom begin their World Cup campaign today in the competitions first all European encounter when they face Denmark in Johannesburg today.  With the like of Raphael Van Der Vaart, Wesley Sneijder and Robin Van Persie in their squad Holland are tipped as one of the favourites for the tournament.  They should get off to a winning start today and if Nicklas Bendtner recovers from injury it should see a clash between Arsenals hitmen.  Van Persie is the favourite to come out on top of that battle.  Denmark aren't a patch of the team that played in the World Cup in 1986 but they will want to prove they arent here to make up the numbers.  Denmark are in a tough group with Japan and Cameroon being the other teams so if they can pick up a point today that just might be the launchpad to get them through to the last 16.
