The 22 year old former Benfica winger has left for a transfer fee in region of 25 million euros and a 6 year contract.
Rumour has it the deal was actually completed at the end of last month but due to Di Maria's World Cup commitments the deal was kept quiet until he has returned from international duty.
Di Maria played in all of Argentina's 5 matches which saw them exit the tournament at the Quarter Final stage and has also played for Argentinian club Rosario Central from 2005-2007 before Benfica decided to snap him up as a replacement for Simao and played 82 games for the Portugese outfit which culminated in Benfica winning the league and cup double last season.
Real Madrid needed to sign Di Maria as they were lacking attacking talent as they only had Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Kaka on their books!!!!!
