Montpellier Make Double Signing

Worldwide Football understand Ligue1 side Montpellier have completed the signings of Turkish international Hasaz Kabze from Rubin Kazan and Chilean defender Marco Estrada from Universidad De Chile today.

Kabze spent 3 years at Rubin making over 50 appearances for the Russian side and scoring 8 goals for a transfer fee of 1.5m euros in 2007 but it is not yet known how much the transfer to Montpellier has cost the french club.

Estrada is a Chilean international who played in World Cup match against Spain where he was sent off for two bookable matches.  He has represented his country 24 times.  He started his career at Chilean club Everton before making the switch to Universidad but he felt a change was needed and it was time to make his mark in Europe.  He is very effective in the air and from defence has scored a number of crucial goals for his old clubs, something Montpellier will be hoping he can do for them next season.
