Andy Reid Joins Blackpool

Fee: Undisclosed

WorldwideFootball understands Republic Of Ireland midfielder Andy Reid has joined Blackpool today from Sunderland for a fee believed to be around £1m.
The 28 year old, capped 27 times by his country has yet to play for the Black Cats this season and is hoping the move will kickstart a career that seems to have stalled over the last 2 years.
Reid was allowed to join Sheffield United in October 2010 for a months loan where he made 9 appearances for the Blades but a permanent move didn't materialise.
What isn't known at the moment is whether Reid is a replacement for Charlie Adam who is wanted by Liverpool or bought to play along side the club captain. Reid could in fact make his debut on Wednesday when the Tangerines play West Ham in their Premier League.

Andy Reid's career:

2000-2005 - Nottingham Forest - 144 apps (21 goals)
2005-2006 - Tottenham Hotspur - 26 apps (1 goal)
2006-2008 - Charlton Athletic - 38 apps (8 goals)
2008-2011 - Sunderland - 68 apps (4 goals)
2010 - Sheffield United (loan) - 9 apps (2 goals)
