WorldwideFootball understands West Ham and Switzerland international midfielder Valon Behrami has joined Fiorentina today for an undisclosed fee.
Behrami, 25 has signed a two and a half year contract with the Florence club and could make his debut at the weekend. The move won't come as a suprise to West Ham fans. Behrami has stated for a while he hasn't been able to adapt to London life and with his family still living in Italy he wanted to return there to be with them.
Since joining from Lazio in 2008 Behrami has made 58 appearances for the club but has struggled with form and injury this season. The midfielder will be hoping the move will help him regain the form that made the Hammers pay £5m for his services.
As well as playing for Lazio Behrami has also played for Lugano, Genoa, Verona as well as making 28 appearances for Switzerland scoring 2 goals.
Ironically, should Behrami make his debut at the weekend he will be coming up against one of his old clubs Lazio who he made 66 appearances for between 2005-2008.
