Sulley Muntari Joins Sunderland

Fee: Loan

Ghana international midfielder Sulley Muntari has joined Premier League side Sunderland on loan until the end of the season from Serie A champions Internazionale WorldwideFootball understands.
Muntari, 26, should settle in to the Premier League, he previously had a season playing for Portsmouth in 2007 where he scored 4 goals in 29 appearances before a £13m switch to the San Siro.
He played 59 games for Inter but has struggled to play this season and two weeks ago Muntari handed in a transfer request.
Although many Premier League clubs showed interest only Steve Bruce made an official bid and has landed the experienced midfielder, capped 57 times by his country.
If all goes well Muntari could find himself up against fellow countryman Michael Essien when Sunderland host Premier League champions Chelsea at The Stadium Of Light
